Defence serving personnel, officers and Exservicemen of all ranks are eligible to purchase Car from CSD Canteen. The CSD Dte has revised the policy from time to time and entitlement of various AFD Items (high value) has also been changed. MOst of the such items can now be pirchased through online CSD FD Portal. In this artile you will go through the latest govt orders regarding revised entitlement of Car Purchase for specially JCOs/OR.

Officers were alredy authorised to purchase one car in every eight years. After a large protest and agitation/grievances to the Mod regarding discrimination and disparity in entitlement in CSD items purchase, the Govt has now considered and the entitlement to purchase more car has been extended to the JCOs/OR. Lets have a look towards the latest rules of the CSD Car purchase entitlements for all ranks.

How To Purchase Car from CSD

Purchase a car from CSD is now more easy. the easy five steps are here .

Step-1 – Register your profile with CSD AFD Portal and obtain user ID and Password duly approved by the Admin.

Step -2 – Choose your dream car and must take care of your entitlement. Latest entitlement is given as on 30 Nov 2023 here below. Now select your City of delivery & Vendor, CSD Depot Concerned and URC Concerned. You will get a quotation instantly with exact Showroom Price.

Step 3 – Now approach Vendor/dealer and get availability certificate. Once you got it, place your purchase requisition alongwith all necessary documents (Scanned Copy) on the CSD AFD Portal.

Step -4 – Once it has been approved, just pay the amount (showroom price only). If through Bank loan, bank will pay the amount with your reference ID available against the purchase approval.

Step -5 – Once paid the amount, you will receive your Supply order from URC concerned. In this effect, you will get an SMS and email regarding collection of supply order/delivery challan. Now, ciontact your Dealer alongwith the delivery challan that received from the URC. You need to pay the RTO & Insurance fees as applicable to the Vendor/dealer.

(a)	Pay Level 3 to 5	Rs. 8 Lakh excluding taxes.	Four cars in lifetime. First car after five years of service. Gap between purchases of two cars to be eight years. Pensioner Widows/ NoK are entitled to purchase cars against the quota not availed by the individual. If the individual had purchased four cars before death then they are not entitled. Gap between purchases of two cars to be eight years.
(b)	Pay Level 6 to 9	Rs. 10 Lakh excluding taxes.	Five cars in lifetime. First car after five years of service. Gap between purchases of two cars to be eight years.   Pensioner    Widows/NoK  are  entitled   to, purchase cars against the quota not availed’ by the individual. If the individual had purchased five cars before death then they are not entitled. Gap between purchases of two cars to be eight years.
(c)	Pay Level 10 to 18	Rs. 20 Lakh excluding taxes.	Once in eight years.

3. Additional Incentives for Purchase of Electric Vehicles (EVs)

Beneficiaries will be entitled to purchase EVs costing upto f 5 Lakh more than the limits stipulated at Para 2 above

Beneficiaries purchasing an EV for the first time can purchase the EV after six years of previous four wheeler purchase However, the next purchase (EV/ Diesel/ Petrol/ CNG/ Hybrid) is permitted after a gap of eight years only
