Initiative of Exservicemen Info Club : The government has implemented various initiatives to enhance the welfare of veterans, including comprehensive pension schemes such as One Rank One Pension (OROP) and the SPARSH pension system. Additionally, the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) provides essential healthcare services, while job reservation policies ensure employment opportunities for ex-servicemen. Furthermore, the Soldier Board and Zila Sainik Board initiatives play a crucial role in extending support to ex-servicemen and their families, ensuring they receive the benefits and assistance they deserve. These initiatives aim to create a more secure post-service life for veterans. Community engagement programs foster connections among ex-servicemen, promoting solidarity and shared experiences.
Educational scholarships are available to support veterans and their dependents in pursuing higher education.
