Simple steps to Change pension Bank Account on SPARSH
After the introduction of SPARSH portal for the Defence pensioners, it has facilitated them to manage their profile and pension related data on their own. Now it has become so easy to change or update your personal and family details including Bank account number and branch , in the event of change of bankers to get your pension and pensionary benefits. Veterans are requested to update/change your Bank account during first week of any month so that it may get completed within the month.
The process of change / update your pension Bank account and Branch/bank , you need to follow some simple steps as mentioned below :-
Step by Step Process to update Pension bank Account Number on SPARSH
Step 1 – Firstly you need to Login to your SPARSH profile using your credential, Those who have lost their user ID or password may kindly read the related article to recover the user ID and Password as link provided at the bottom of this article.
Step – 2 – Once you have logged in to the SPARSH Portal, you need to go to “ My Profile “ tab and click on “Manage Profile” then “Bank details”. You can do this action using your smartphone or PC/Laptop. All veterans are requested not to approach any Cyber cafe wala to do this kind of job. You may do it yourself as this is so easy.
If you are not capable to do it at your own, kindly visit your nearest SPARSH Service centres. Govt has established thousands of SPARSH service centres and these are available in your own district/city of your residence. Detailed List of such SPARSH Service centres throughout the country is available in our website as link provided below.
Step 3 – Now Delete the existing Account number and bank details i.e Branch, IFSC Code etc and enter the new Bank/Branch IFSC code, Account number, Branch Name etc. Finally save the data.
Step 4 – You need to upload a Canceled Cheque related to New Bank Account or Front page of passbook and submit. Now you have completed the process of updating/changing your pension account. If this action is done in the 1st week of the month, within the week you will get the corrigendum PPO and your pension will be credited as regular.
