For officers JCOs /OR and defence civilians while in service and after retirement, they can buy more number of of utility items from CSD than earlier now. The entitlement of purchase of grocery and AFD limit is different for each group of officers/JCOs and Jawans. Latest Authorisation of car for all Ranks – Nov 2023
Limits on purchase of four wheelers through CSD have been enhanced. Offrs can now purchase cars costing upto 20 lakh, JCOs upto 10 lakh & OR upto 8 lakh. Additional 5 lakh limit for purchase of EVs.
Entitlement of Purchase of TV and AC from CSD for all ranks
Wef 01 Sep 2023 CSD beneficiaries can buy 02 TVs and 04 ACs in block period of 04 years, instead of one in four years.
Entitlement of Purchase of Two Wheelers from CSD for all ranks
AFD-1 – Items i.e Two wheeler can be purchased in 01 in every three years. So, if you have bought a two wheeler in 2020, you may buy another new Bike/ Scooty from CSD again in 2023.
