Award of BA (HRM) Degree for Exserviceman
BA (HRM) Degree for Exservicemen without Exam from a recognised university is now in reality. During retirement you might have received a graduation certificate from your Last Unit or Service HQ or Depot Regiment as the case may be. This certificate is issued to all matriculate Ex-Servicemen with minimum 15 Years of Service but except some Banks, SSC and only a few Govt organization, no body recognize it and has no value with them due to ignorance of Govt Orders and instructions. To overcome such difficulties, Kendriya Sainik Board has taken initiative as all matriculate Ex-servicemen may get BA (HRM) Degree for Exservicemen alongwith Proper Year wise Mark Sheet for First, Second & Third Year. Before applying for the degree, you must read the SOP in detail so that all the necessary steps are fulfilled properly.
Resettlement Facility & KSB initiative for award of BA (HRM) Graduation Degree for all Matriculate Ex-servicemen.
In order to ensure smooth resettlement of Exservicemen community, Ministry of Defene, Kendriya Sainik Board has signed an MoU with Andhara University for award of BA (HRM) Degree to all eligible exservicemen as per DOPT, Govt of India Letter No 15012/8/82 Estt (D) dt 12 Feb 1986. This Degree certificate can be used for all purpose at par with Degree awarded to Graduate Students of any UGC Recognised Indian University. You may apply for all Central and State Govt and PSU jobs producing this certificate as it is supported by year wise marksheet which is normally given to the regular / distance learning students.
Eligible criteria for BA (HRM) Degree to be awarded for Ex-servicemen.
All Ex-servicemen can apply for obtaining the BA (HRM) Degree who have falling under the following categories:
(i) Should complete 15 Years of Regular Service in Indian Armed Forces.
(ii) Should have passed 10+2 or intermediate or equivalent Examination or obtained Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or equivalent in Indian Navy and Air Force.
(iii) Matriculate or 10th Pass ESM may also eligible to apply. In such case special marksheet to be generated in lieu of 10+2 , by the ZSB. For non intermediate candidates, 5 Yrs marksheet to be prepared by ZSB.
Course Fee for BA (HRM) Degree for Exservicemen
You need to pay Rs 12,500/- for obtaining the degree of BA (HRM) in favour of Andhra University on account of Course Fee and allied charges. Payment details are available in the original MoU of the KSB.
How to Apply for BA (HRM) Degree for Exservicemen
Exservicemen may apply for obtaining Degree of BA (HRM) on a plain paper mentioning the reference of MoU signed by KSB and Andhra University to your concerned Zila Sainik Board. You need to enclose following documents:
(a) Copy of PPO, Discharge Book & Identity Card
(b) Copy of all Educational Certificates & marksheet (Civil & Military).
(c) Copy of Proof of online payment/ DD in favour of Andhra University as per account details mentioned in original MoU.

Action by ZSB for award of BA (HRM) Degree for Exservicemen.
Zila Sainik Welfare Office/ZSB after receiving application will prepare data sheet of the applicants based on the information provided by the applicants in prescribed format. They will prepare the Grade Card on the basis of educational qualification and service details of the ESM. All these documents will be submitted in Two phases. Application received within the 1st half and 2nd half of the year to be processed in January and July every year.
After thorough checking by ZSB the applications will be processed to RSB for final grading. Further the application will be submitted to the Andhra University alongwith all requisite documents as mentioned in the SOP. If any observation raised by them will be communicated to the ZSB and after rectification the application will be resubmitted. On receipt of final application, degree will be awarded within 90 days.
Collection of BA (HRM) Degree Certificate and Mark Sheet by Exservicemen
Intimation will be given to ESM for collection of BA (HRM) Degree certificate and marksheet from RSB. Only Exservicemen in person can collect the certificate.
