Defence pensioners were too worried as they did not receive any msg from PCDA, SPARSH as usual it is sent by the Pension Disbursing authority of Defence accounts Department every month during last week of the month.

However, it is not a matter that you have received the intimation msg from SPARSH or not. On 29th Feb a large number of Defence belongs to Indian Army, Navy and Airforce including defence civilians have got credited their pension in their bank account.

Those who are still waiting for Pension Credit in their Bank

A large number of Defence pensioners are still waiting for pension yet to be credited in their pension bank account. All the pensioners who are still drawing their pension directly from SBI, PNB and other banks and not migrated to SPARSH have received their pension on 28th or earlier. Those who have been migrated to SPARSH and waiting for pension credit, need not to be worried. PCDA has started pension payment to all the Defence pensioners in batched manner as usual. It is expected that everyone will get their pension by the evening.

Some pensioners may get delayed pension due to non submission of proper life certificate to the SPARSH portal. Those who have submitted their life certificate not directly to SPARSH but used Jeeven Praman or other means of life certificate as feasiblity extended by the Govt for the civvil and military pensioners, may get in trouble due to improper submission.

During submission of life certificate through Jeevan Praman you must mention your SPARSH ID and select DDO as PCDA Allahabad for all wings of Armed Forces Pensioners. Check and confirm if your life certificate has been submitted to SPARSH or not by adopting the procedure mentioned below :-

Action Step who have not Received Pension for Feb 2024

Step -1 – Log in to your SPARSH Profile using your credential (user ID and Password.

Step – II – Click on Life certificate /Identification and confirm if your life certificate is showing valid upto November 2024 or the date that must be later than Feb 2024 as the case may be.

Step – III – If it has been found that your life certificate is due as on date, just download MLC and get it signed by any Gazetted officer and upload scanned copy of it on the SPARSH portal. This is the easiest and safe process for completing your Life certificate/identification process every year.

However, PCDA has not published any notification regarding non payment of pension due to non submission of Life certificate to SPARSH till date. However, it may be taken as the precautionary steps to keep your life certificate updated to avoid any future complications regarding pension payment.
