CSD Car Purchase Guide (June 2025): Price List & Eligibility For Defence Personnel

The Canteen Stores Department (CSD) offers serving and retired defence personnel the opportunity to purchase brand-new vehicles at concessional rates, exempt from GST and other dealership markups. The scheme ensures that ORs, JCOs, and Officers can avail vehicles that suit their rank-based entitlements.

Based on [DDGCS guidelines] and uploaded letter (No. 96410/Q/DDGCS, July 2015):

CSD AFD Portal Registration – Check availability of car
Availability Certificate from CSD-affiliated dealer
Payment Mode: online payment through afd portal
Vehicle booking slip
ESM Proof
PPO/Discharge Book (for retired)
Service Certificate (for serving)
Salary Slip (for MoD civilians)
Address Proof
State-specific documents

🔄 Purchase Procedure from CSD

Select a vehicle from CSD-approved brands and models through CSD AFD Portal
Get Availability Certificate from the dealer
Fill CSD Indent Form
Submit application + documents + payment on portal
Receive:
1. Order Receipt
1. Sale Letter
1. Authority Letter
Submit above to dealer for vehicle delivery
Pay separate to dealer for insurance, registration, and accessories
