The Canteen Stores Department (CSD) offers serving and retired defence personnel the opportunity to purchase brand-new vehicles at concessional rates, exempt from GST and other dealership markups. The scheme ensures that ORs, JCOs, and Officers can avail vehicles that suit their rank-based entitlements.

📑 Required Documents for CSD Car Purchase

  1. CSD AFD Portal Registration – Check availability of car
  2. Availability Certificate from CSD-affiliated dealer
  3. Payment Mode: online payment through afd portal
  4. Vehicle booking slip
  5. ESM Proof
  6. PPO/Discharge Book (for retired)
  7. Service Certificate (for serving)
  8. Salary Slip (for MoD civilians)
  9. Address Proof
  10. State-specific documents

🔄 Purchase Procedure from CSD

  1. Select a vehicle from CSD-approved brands and models through CSD AFD Portal
  2. Get Availability Certificate from the dealer
  3. Fill CSD Indent Form
  4. Submit application + documents + payment on portal
  5. Receive:
    1. Order Receipt
    1. Sale Letter
    1. Authority Letter
  6. Submit above to dealer for vehicle delivery
  7. Pay separate to dealer for insurance, registration, and accessories
