Revised Entitlement of Four-Wheelers Through CSD for Armed Forces & Defence Civilians (Effective from 01 February 2024)

Integrated HQ of MoD (Army), Quartermaster General’s Branch, Canteen Services Directorate,
New Delhi  has notified the revised entitlement of four-wheeler purchase through CSD for serving and retired Armed Forces personnel, including widows/Next of Kin (NoK) and defence civilians, effective from 01 February 2024.

1. Category-wise Revised Entitlement

A. Serving & Retired Armed Forces Personnel (Including Pensioner Widows/NoK)

2. Additional Incentives for Electric Vehicles (EVs)

In a progressive step toward green mobility, the policy provides special benefits for EV purchase:

(a) Enhanced Purchase Limit:

  • Beneficiaries may buy EVs costing up to ₹5 lakh more than the limit specified in their respective pay-level category.

(b) Eligibility Timeline for EVs:

  • First EV purchase allowed after 6 years from the last four-wheeler purchase.
  • Subsequent EV or other fuel type vehicle can be purchased after 8 years of the last purchase.

3. Special Sanction Provisions

  • Special sanctions for additional vehicle purchases remain unchanged, subject to entitlement norms and approval procedures.

4. Supersession Clause

  • This letter supersedes the earlier policy vide CS Dte letter No. 95350/Q/DDGCS/Policy dated 30 November 2022.
