Recruitment in Indian Air Force 2025
The Indian Air Force (IAF) invites Indian/Gorkha (subject of Nepal) male candidates to participate in the recruitment rally for Airmen in Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical Medical Assistant Trade). The recruitment rally will be held at Airmen Selection Centre, Near Palta Gate, Air Force Station Barrackpore, West Bengal from 27 August 2025 to 04 September 2025.

Reporting Time: 6:00 AM onwards on the scheduled date. Candidates must bring original documents for verification.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Marital Status & Date of Birth
- 10+2 Candidates (Medical Assistant Trade):
- Unmarried males born between 01 Jan 2005 and 01 Jan 2008 (both dates inclusive).
- Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy Candidates:
- Unmarried males born between 01 Jan 2002 and 01 Jan 2007.
- Married candidates born between 01 Jan 2002 and 01 Jan 2005.
2. Educational Qualification
- 10+2 Candidates:
- Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
- Or, passed two years’ vocational course with the same subjects and marks criteria.
- Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy Candidates:
- Passed 10+2 with PCB and English with 50% aggregate & 50% in English.
- Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- Must be registered with State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India.
Physical & Medical Standards
- Height: Minimum 152 cm
- Chest: Minimum circumference 77 cm with 5 cm expansion
- Dental: Healthy gums, minimum 14 dental points
- Vision:
- Medical Assistant – 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/6
- Max refractive error: +3.50 D
- Colour Vision: CP-II
- General Health: Should be physically and mentally fit.
Important Notes
- Candidates with LASIK/PRK surgery history are not eligible.
- Consumption of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances is strictly prohibited.
- Rally is only for Airmen selection — not for officers, pilots, navigators, or Agniveervayu.
- No fee or bribe should be paid; selection is purely merit-based.
- Detailed medical standards available on CASB website.
Key Documents Required
- Original and photocopies of mark sheets, certificates, and domicile proof.
- Service certificates for candidates from Defence/Ex-Defence families.
- Medical fitness certificate.
- Recent passport-sized photographs.
