Overview of the Recruitment against Vacancy Reserved for Exservicemen
The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has announced new recruitment opportunities for various positions at its Polyclinics in Barrackpore, Krishnanagar, and Hooghly (Arambagh).
This recruitment is on a contractual basis for one year, renewable based on performance and other conditions.

Note: Preference will be given to Ex-Servicemen (ESM).
Important Information
- Contract Period: 1 year, renewable based on performance or until attaining the maximum age limit.
- Training: Selected candidates must undergo a 10-day unpaid On-Job Training (OJT) before assuming charge.
- Posting: Candidates may be posted at any of the three ECHS Polyclinics — Barrackpore, Krishnanagar, or Hooghly — for temporary or full duration.
- Reserve Pool: A reserve list will be maintained for future vacancies valid up to 31 March 2026.

Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Based on eligibility criteria and documentation.
- Interview:
Eligible candidates will be informed about the date, time, and venue of the interview via telephone call or message (2nd week of November 2025). - Candidates must bring original documents, medical fitness certificate, and passport-size photographs (3.5 × 4.5 cm) for verification.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
