Exservicemen Corporations are found in some states which provides jobs for the Ex-servicemen. Some issues regarding operations and opportunites sought by them have been discussed in the meeting of KSB which is mentioned here.
Minutes of meeting of Kendriya Sainik Board held on 11 April 2023 on various welfare matters of Exservicemen including Opportunities for ESM Corporation.
Discussion – It has brought out that many states are having ESM Corporations which provide employment to ESM. Members expressed that despite being state ESM Corporations, they have to participate in Govt tenders through normal bidding which is disadvantageous. It was proposed to issue directives from central Govt for enabling use of only State Corporations. It was suggested that at least for Security of sensitive establishment / installations, such rules could be set. The issue of exemption from PSARA licence norms for ESM Corporation to function in other States is under discussion with MHA.
Decision : All States should consider setting up such ESM Corporations which can provide self sustaining avenue for ESM resettlement and rehabilitation. The issue of easing PSARA licence norms for ESM Corporations to operate in other States be pursued with MHA.

Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPPSKNL), a Uttar Pradesh Government Undertaking is the Nation’s first Ex-servicemen Corporation established on 23rd May 1989 as a UP State Government Undertaking under Section 617 of Companies Act 1956. - Civil Education – High School / Matric
- LMC ESM are not eligible.
Services Provided by Exservicemen Corporation
The Exservicemen Corporation usually provides jobs for ESM at Government/Semi Government organisations, Departments/PSUs, Private Industries/ Institutions/organisations looking to outsource their security/technical/ administrative/ clerical/para-medical and other services should contact them for most reliable and highest quality trained, disciplined and experienced manpower.
It provides Ex-servicemen based various services on contract basis for the rehabilitation and welfare of Ex-servicemen preventing their exploitation from private security agencies. Ex-servicemen can approach them for job.

The services of Ex-servicemen based Security Guards, Gunmen, Supervisors, Asst Security Officers and Security Officers are being provided to various Central/State Departments/CPSU’s/ PSU’s/ Private Institute and Banks. Main clients are IOCL, BPCL, ONGC. NTPC, BHEL, IYPPCL, Various Banks, Postal Department, PWD, Irrigation Department, UP Estate Department and Torrent Power Ltd etc. These services includes:

The services based on Ex-servicemen as well as their wards are being provided to Central/State Departments and corporations who are capable of handling independent correspondence. Their main clients are BHEL and various World Projects etc.
Drivers :
The services of Ex-servicemen based light vehicle drivers, heavy vehicle drivers, dozer operators, crane operators etc. are being provided to various Central/State Departments /CPSU’s/PSU’s/ HMCL, PPCL, IPGCL and various World Bank Projects etc.
Hospital Staff :
Ex-servicemen as well as their dependents based patient helper, nursing staff, pharmacist, aayas, ward boy etc services are being provided to various Government Hospitals. Their main clients are SGPGI MS, Lucknow, RIMS Safai, UPPCL, MLB Medical College, Jhansi BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur etc. These services are called Para Medical Services which includes:

Technical Services:
The services based on Ex-servicemen as well as their wards are being provided to various power houses and sub stations of NTPC & UP Power Corporation Limited as Sub Station operators & pump operators who are capable in generation and transmission of electricity. Their main clients are UPPCL, HPGCL, PPCL, IPOCL, NTPC, BHEL, Torrent Power Ltd Survey of India and various world. bank projects .These services includes:

Tourist Police Services:
UPPSKNL Servicemen based tourist police services at Agra, Varanasi. The work of tourist police is to provide assistance in sight seeing, assist in arranging for lodging and boarding arrangements, making travel arrangements, assistance during emergencies i.e. loss of luggage, passport etc, assistance in exchanging of currency ,
assistance for communication needs of tourists, .
FIRE SERVICES – UPPSKNL is providing Fire Fighting personnel to various industrial units.
