One Time Registration Process for Online Registration for purchase of CSD AFD items
All Armed Forces Personnel – officers, JCOs & OR, Ex-Servicemen and Defence Civilians are eligible to register in the official website / online portal of CSD Department at www.afd.csdindia.gov.in for purchase of bike, car, AC, TV , Fridge etc. You may now renew and get New CSD card (Replacement) online also.
Canteen Stores Department is now online
India’s biggest Govt chain store owned by the Central Government is now available in Online Platform. This facility will give relief for the CSD Customers who are intended to buy AFD items.
What are the items under AFD in CSD?
AFD items are not the FMCG. These items are generally high value non consumable assets type of items which may be called home appliances and utility household equipment . A comprehensive list of important and attractive items are given below:

Step by step Online Registration process
Step 1 : enter https://afd.csdindia.gov.in in your web browser
Step 2 : Complete the online form including verifiction of your mobile number, puting all details of service and pensionary data as required.
Now detailed process of Online Booking any items of CSD :
Step – I : Login to the CSD AFD Portal at https://afd.csdindia.gov.in
Step – II: Choose your item and dealer.
Step – III : Book your item and wait for sanction.
Step-IV – once you get sanction msg, pay the amount as per instructions available in CSD Official website.
Step – V : Collect/receive the demand letter.
Step – VI : Contact to the dealer and collect your item producing the sanction and demand letter.

How to make payment for purchase of AFD items through official website of CSD portal?
(Please check the official website of CSD before making payment. This is for awareness purpose only)
Payment Gateway integrated with AFD CSD Portal supports following modes of Payment as of now :-
- Credit/Debit Card
- Net Banking
- UPI
- Bank Transfer
In case you choose Bank Transfer mode, you need to download the e-challan generated by the Payment Gateway which will be mentioning the virtual Account number, IFSC code and the exact amount to be deposited by NEFT or RTGS.
Virtual Account Number generated in e-challan is a 16 digit account number with first 9 digits remaining same as 222333154xxxxxxx and IFSC Code must be confirmed from the official website of CSD. (Please confirm before payment from official website of CSD)
Now take a print out of the e-challan and request Bank to do NEFT or RTGS as per details mentioned on the e-challan. It must be ensured that each e-challan payment is valid only for one transaction and if amount remitted is not as per amount mentioned on the e-challan, Payment Gateway will reject that transaction and you will get a refund back in your bank account within the stipulated period.
Only for loan cases, loan Payment can be made by direct bank transfer into bank account of CSD HO wef 15th May 2021. Details of Bank available in the official website of CSD.
- Beneficiary needs to upload UTR details of loan payment made in CSD HO bank account. And balance amount would need to be paid online by the beneficiary from his/her own account using the payment gateway.
Similarly, if cost of the AFD item is above 10 Lakhs (and even though no loan has been taken), beneficiary would be given an option to split the payment into 2 online payments to overcome the limitation put by SBI on the maximum amount that can be transacted through net banking.
When a CSD customer buys any of the AFD items online, he has to transfer the money from his bank account only. Not to transfer money from non-CSD customers’ bank accounts.

- Mobile Phone for OTP verification
How log it takes for approval on registration in afd.csdindia.gov.in ?
It takes usually two working days for given approval on registration by the CSD AFD portal.
