Toll tax is exempted for soldiers , it is well known to all. But do you know what is he authority for such Exemption of toll Tax ? here are two documents provided by the Ministry of Road Transport (MoRTH), Govt of India.

The another document is THE INDIAN TOLLS (ARMY AND AIR FORCE) ACT, 1901 which is available here in pdf format. In this documents, all Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors including officers are exempted from paying Toll tax. TA personnel including NCC while on duty or joining/returning from duty are also exempted.
