The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2027 Recruitment under the Agnipath Scheme, inviting applications from eligible Indian youths who wish to serve the nation through four-year contractual engagement as Agniveervayu personnel.

IAF has re-opened the online application window for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2027.

New Last Date to Apply: 10 March 2026 (11:55 PM).
Earlier, applications were open till 8 February 2026, and the form was first available from 12 January 2026.

👤 Age Limit Increased

In a recent update, the Air Force has extended the upper age limit to 22 years, giving relief to many aspirants who earlier could not apply due to age restrictions.

Eligible Birth Dates: Candidates born between 01 Jan 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (inclusive) can now apply.
This enhancement from the earlier cut-off is expected to allow more candidates to participate in this recruitment cycle.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

📌 Educational Qualification

10+2 Pass in any stream (Science or Non-Science) from a recognised board; AND/OR
Engineering Diploma holders (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, IT, etc.) are also eligible under relevant criteria.

👤 Marital & Citizenship Status

Only unmarried male and female Indian citizens are eligible.
Candidates must not get married during the period of service (4 years).

💼 Selection Process

The comprehensive selection process includes:

Phase-I: Online Written Test
- Science Subjects: Physics, Mathematics & English (60 minutes)
- Other than Science: English + Reasoning & General Awareness (45 minutes)
- Both combined option available (85 minutes)
- Normalisation of marks to adjust difficulty levels across sessions.
Phase-II: Physical Fitness & Adaptability Tests
- Document Verification
- Physical Fitness Tests (run, push-ups, sit-ups, squats)
- Adaptability Test-I & II.
Phase-III: Medical Examination
- Conducted by Air Force medical team; appeal medical board available if required.
Final Merit
- Based on performance, medical fitness, vacancies & other criteria.
