Re-Enrolment into Defence Security Corps (DSC): MEG & Centre Notification 2025

The Defence Security Corps (DSC) has announced a Recruitment Rally for re-enrolment of ex-servicemen (ESM) belonging to the Madras Engineer Group (MEG) Regiments. The rally is scheduled as follows:

  • Reporting Date: 29 September 2025, 1600 hrs
  • Physical Proficiency Test: 01 October 2025
  • Battle Physical Efficiency Test: 03 October 2025
  • Venue: MEG & Centre, Bangalore

This rally is meant exclusively for Sepoy (GD) and Sepoy Clerk (SD) category of MEG ex-servicemen.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Regimental Requirement

  • Only those who have served in Madras Engineer Group Regiments are eligible.

2. Education

  • Metric and above (10th pass and higher), or
  • ACE-III qualification for non-matric candidates.

3. Age Limit

  • Sepoy (GD): Up to 46 years
  • Sepoy Clerk (SD): Up to 48 years

4. Character

  • The character at the time of discharge must be assessed as “Exemplary” or “Very Good”.
  • Note: Character below “Very Good” is not acceptable.

5. Discipline

  • Not more than two Red Ink entries during entire service.
  • No punishment under Army Act Sections 34, 35, 36, 37, & 41 (2) while on active service.
  • No Red Ink entry in the last five years of service.
  • No punishment under Army Act Section 48 in the last five years of service.

6. Medical Category

  • Medical category must be SHAPE–I.
  • ESM discharged due to Alcoholic Dependency Syndrome during the last five years of service are not eligible.

7. Gap Period

  • Sepoy (GD): Gap between discharge and reporting must not exceed two years.
  • Sepoy Clerk (SD): Gap must not exceed five years.

8. Qualifying Service

  • Minimum of five years of colour service is mandatory.
  • Service counted for pension/gratuity will also be treated as qualifying service.

9. Cause of Discharge

  • Discharge must fall under Army Rule 13 (3) Item III (i) & 13 (3) Item III (iv).

Documents Required for Enrolment

Candidates must carry the following original documents and photocopies at the time of reporting:

  1. Discharge Book in original.
  2. Civil/ Military Education Certificates in original.
  3. Extended Army Group Insurance Bond in original.
  4. Photographs:
    • 05 joint passport-size photographs with wife.
    • 05 single photographs of self.
    • 05 family photographs.
  5. PAN Card Photocopy (self, wife, and NOK).
  6. Aadhaar Card Photocopy (self, wife, and NOK).
  7. Police Verification/Verification Certificate duly signed by Superintendent of Police (Online).
  8. Pension Payment Order (PPO).

Reporting Instructions

  • Eligible MEG ESM (Sep GD/Clerk SD) must report to the Placement Cell, MEG & Centre on 29 September 2025 at 1600 hrs.
  • Participation in DSC Recruitment Rally is mandatory for enrolment consideration.
