Who Can Apply?
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) from a recognized university.
- Age Limit: Generally 18–32 years, with age relaxations for reserved categories (as per SSC notification).
- Nationality: Indian citizen (with certain exceptions for Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet refugees).

How to Apply
- Register/Login: Create your profile or log in at ssc.gov.in.
- Fill Application: Complete the Part‑I and Part‑II forms carefully, providing personal, educational and category details.
- Upload Documents: Recent photograph, signature and category certificates (if applicable).
- Pay Fee: Online via net banking, debit/credit card or e‑challan before the deadline.
- Print Confirmation: Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
Exam Pattern — Tier I (CBT)
SSC CGL Tier I is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) comprising 100 multiple‑choice questions to be answered in 60 minutes. Each correct answer awards +2 marks; ‘wrong’ or unattempted questions do not carry negative marking. The paper is divided into four sections:
