The Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO) is a flagship welfare initiative of the Indian Army, dedicated to facilitating the smooth transition of retired and retiring Army personnel — including officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and Other Ranks (OR) — into meaningful civilian employment. Recognising the immense skills, discipline, leadership, and dedication that soldiers bring to any organisation, AWPO acts as a vital bridge between the corporate and public sector world and the vast pool of trained ex-servicemen (ESM) talent available across India.
