It is true that after a long waiting, finally govt has released the OROP pension table 2024. People are now checking their pension with keen interest. The OROP 3rd revision is effective from 01 July 2024.
We all are thankful to the Govt machinery for timely implementation, but, after thorough checking by the veterans of the Indian Armed Forces, feedback recceived in various social media and cross checked th same from Govt Order following anomalies have been found in OROP Table 2024 which is effective fom 01 July 2024.

Anomaly in OROP Pension Table 2024
(a) Pension Fixed in OROP Reision 1 and 2 for some Ranks (obviously JCOs/OR) with speciic lenth of service are now reduced in OROP-3, which has defeated the very purpose of OROP. According to the justification and logic shown in in formulation of OROP Scheme, pension must be improved with extending govt support to our veterans. Whereas , after comparision with erlier pension table i.e OROP 2014 (1st) and OROP 2019 (2nd) of various Ranks – Sepoy,Nk, Hav, Nb Sub ,Sub & Sub Maj etc , it has been found that the pension fixed in this OROP 2024 Table is less than the pension Fixed 5 years and 10 years ago. It is true that Govt has paid thousands of Crore rupees to Veterans for OROP but the ratio with manpower strength, there are huge inquality.
(b) Veterans have found again the Rank bias with OROP 3rd revision also. 99% JCOs/OR are agreed with the opinion that OROP has been materialised with compromised norms in order to extend better pension to the Elite Class of the Indian Armed Forces only. Ratio of increase in Pension is always higher for them.
(c) Formula adopted to fixhe pension i.e average of minimum and maximum pension is absolutely irrational and adopted just not to give benefit to our retired Jawans who were back bone of the Indian Armed Forces during their service. It effect adversely to our soldiers.
