SPARSH (System for Pension Administration – Raksha) is a comprehensive digital platform developed and maintained by the Ministry of Defence through the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (PCDA). It serves as a centralized system for the end-to-end management of defence pension-related services. Through SPARSH, defence pensioners—including ex-servicemen, defence civilians, and their families—can conveniently access essential documents such as the Pension Payment Order (PPO), Corrigendum PPO, monthly pension slips, Form 16 (for income tax purposes), and other pension-related communications. The platform aims to ensure transparency, timely disbursement, self-service capability, and a seamless pension experience for the defence community across India.

Prerequisites to Download SPARSH PPO

  1. Activated SPARSH account: You will receive your 12-digit PPO number and a system-generated password via SMS/email.
  2. Complete Pensioner Data Verification (PDV): Ensure your profile—Aadhaar, PAN, bank details—is updated and verified (ESM Corner).

How to Download PPO / Corrigendum PPO

Step 1: Log in

Visit SPARSH portal, select “Pensioner Login”, and enter your PPO number and password.

Step 2: Navigate to “My Documents”

Once logged in, go to the top menu → My Documents → choose PPO / Corrigendum PPO section .

Step 3: View and Download

  • A list of your PPO(s) and any Corrigendum PPOs will display.
  • Click on a document to preview it in PDF format.
  • Select Download PDF or print directly from the portal (CGDA).

How to Download Pension SlipStep 1: Log in

Use the same PPO number and password to log in to SPARSH .

Step 2: Visit Pension Section

Click on Services → Pension → then select Pension Slip from the dropdown menu (DRDO).

Step 3: Select Year and Download

Choose the financial year (e.g., 2024–25), click Generate Slip, then Download or Print the monthly pension slip as a PDF (DRDO, India.gov.in).
