What is the Defence Security Corps (DSC)?
The DSC is a specialized wing under the Indian Armed Forces responsible for:

- Disciplinary criteria:

- ORs: Maximum one red ink entry in last 5 years

Step-by-Step Enrolment Process
The DSC recruitment process is structured and handled through Regimental Centres and Army Recruiting Offices (AROs).
1. Registration at ARO/ Regimental Centre
- Ex-servicemen must register at their concerned Regimental Centre/Depot Regiment or nearest ARO
- Seniority is based on registration date
- This determines call-up priority
2. Call-Up & Screening
- Candidates are called as per vacancy and seniority
- Initial verification of documents and service records
3. Physical Proficiency Test (PPT)
- Basic fitness test conducted
- No fresh measurement of height/weight (already qualified during service)
4. Medical Examination
Conducted at Military Hospital, including:
- Blood tests (Haemogram, Sugar, Cholesterol)
- Chest X-ray
- ECG
- General health assessment
5. Final Selection & Enrolment
- Based on:
- Medical fitness
- Service record
- Availability of vacancies

- Personnel still in service can opt for DSC
