1. Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS)

  • Purpose: To encourage higher education among wards and widows of ESM.
  • Eligible Courses: Professional degree courses like B.Tech, MBBS, B.Sc (Nursing), MBA, MCA, etc.
  • Scholarship Amount:
    • Girls – ₹3,000/- per month
    • Boys – ₹2,500/- per month

2. Financial Assistance for Education of Children/Widows of ESM

  • Eligibility: Wards/widows of ESM up to the rank of Havildar & below (or equivalent).
  • Benefit: ₹1,000/- per month, up to graduation level (excluding professional courses).

3. Penury Grant for Non-Pensioners

  • Eligibility: ESM (up to Havildar & below) who are non-pensioners and above 65 years of age.
  • Benefit: ₹4,000/- per month.

4. Financial Assistance for Marriage of Daughter/Widow Remarriage

  • Eligibility: ESM (up to Havildar & equivalent) for the marriage of their daughter, or widow’s remarriage.
  • Benefit: One-time grant of ₹50,000/-.

5. Financial Assistance for Medical Treatment (Non-Pensioners/Widows)

  • Eligibility: Non-pensioner ESM and widows up to Havildar rank.
  • Benefit: ₹30,000/- per annum.

6. Financial Assistance for Treatment of Serious Diseases

  • Eligibility: All ranks of ESM.
  • Benefit: Up to ₹1,25,000/- (depending on severity and requirement).

7. Financial Assistance for Mobility Equipment

  • Eligibility: Disabled ESM with more than 50% disability sustained after retirement.
  • Benefit: ₹1,00,000/- for mobility equipment (wheelchair, artificial limbs, etc.).

8. Financial Assistance for 100% Disabled Child of ESM

  • Eligibility: Child of ESM up to JCO rank or equivalent.
  • Benefit: ₹3,000/- per month.

9. Interest Subsidy on Home Loan

  • Eligibility: War-bereaved families, war-disabled ESM, and attributable peacetime casualties.
  • Benefit: Interest subsidy up to ₹1,00,000/-.

10. Vocational Training for Widows of ESM

  • Eligibility: Widows of ESM up to Havildar rank or equivalent.
  • Benefit: One-time grant of ₹20,000/- for vocational training.

11. Financial Assistance for Orphan Children of ESM

  • Eligibility: Orphan wards of ESM (up to Havildar rank).
  • Benefit: ₹3,000/- per month –
    • Son: up to 21 years of age
    • Daughter: till marriage
