What is SPARSH Portal
The effective pension administration system named SPARSH portal has been established with the objective of empowering the Defence Pensioners with regard to their pension account. This is a step towards disintermediation of services. This portal ensures that the pensioner is in control of his pension account right from the time he applies to avail his pension. The Pensioner is allotted a unique account number once his digitised audited pension claim is ready for forwarding to PCDA(Pensions) for issue of Pension Payment Order.
The Pensioner is informed of this account number on the mobile number/email address furnished by him at the time of furnishing his pension claim which he can use to onboard on this portal. Once the Service Record Holder and the corresponding Pay Accounts Office prepares the pension claim it is made available to the pensioner on the portal for verification. This process is called Pensioner Data Verification (PDV). PDV ensures that the pensioner has the final say with respect to the information furnished to the Pension Sanction Authority.
The Portal also enables the pensioner to furnish the requisite declarations/ nominations/requests for commutation. The portal also provides the option to the pensioner to use enabled services for quicker processing of his requests and signing of declarations making his experience a truly paperless and hassle free one.
Thwe legacy pensioners have also been migrated to the SPARSH Portal and the process is still ongoing.

The Portal features a simple and user friendly interface which can be used by the pensioner . A mobile application has also been envisaged to access the services. The pensioner will be notified of events through his registered mobile/email address.
Your Responsibility after getting SPARSH migration information on your mobile phone
You might have listened about the SPARSH Pension system which has already been rolled out for Defence pensioner belongs to all ranks including defence civilians. After generation of SPARSH PPO Number by the Defence Pension Department, all pensioners are usually intimated about the migration from Bank to SPARSH and accordingly user ID with Password is communicated by electronic means. You may get your sparsh login ID password on a mobile meddage or email ID. Once you receive the user ID and PassWord, your action and responsibility is to complete the PDV Process. SPARSH Pension Portal : Action to be taken by Defence Pensioners

Within few weeks, you will receive the user ID and Password. If not received within 2 months from date of receiving the msg of migration, you may lodge a grievance to the SPARSH PCDA.

What is Sparsh PPO Number ?
This ultra modern Pensioner Portal provides a single window for the pensioners to avail
the pension related services such as facility to view the pension details,
pension entitlements, pensioner profile details, Income Tax forms etc. Your e PPO Number will be no more valid now. A SPARSH Generated PPO Number will be issued to you. When you intended to file Life Certificate, must mention this SPARSH PPO Number.
At the centre of this system is the Defence Pensioner who will be given a completely
transparent view of his pension account through a platform which captures and
maintain a complete history of events and entitlements the pensioner right from
the date of commencement of pension to the date of termination of pension due
to their last eligible beneficiary.
