Veterans E-Lobby : New Welfare System for Ex-Servicemen

Indian Defence system is in the way to introduce a special help and support system for Exserviccemen and War Widows named Veterans E-Lobby. The Veterans E-lobby is a unique facility that is currently in the process of being set up at the DIAV. Once it is up and running, it will offer a range of advisory services to the veterans, widows, disabled soldiers and wards. The E-lobby is designed to provide may help and support services to the Ex-servicemen fraternity.:

Banking Services for Ex-servicemen

Banking advice and services relating to pension matters. The SBI and PNB Service Centers have already been incorporated and they have fielded top class banking advice and facilities for the veteran fraternity.

Disability Care & Support Services for Ex-servicemen

A multi-emblem facility has been mounted to exhibit new products for disabled infantrymen on the E-Lobby. Currently these encompass HONDA MOTORS and ALIMCO, which have been energetic in this area. New partners are being recognized to provide nice incapacity care and help products to our veteran community.

NSDC Skilling Services for Ex-servicemen

A National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) backed Liaison Office is being established at the E-lobby. This office will field Liaison Officers / Consultants from a range of NSDC Sector Skill Councils for advising institutions and individuals about the possible opportunities for skill development, assessment and certification.

Widow Care & Support Services for Ex-servicemen

A Widows Care and Support Office is proposed to be established at the E-lobby, in due course. This office will provide professional consultancy to the widows and wards, as per their needs. This office will collaborate with the AWWA at the functional level.

Financial Advisory Services for Ex-servicemen

The DIAV shall also field expert financial advisory services at the E-lobby in due course. The specialists shall render advice to the veterans and widows on diverse economic products and opportunities, to make sure the viability and safety of any private investments.

Miscellaneous Services for Ex-servicemen

DIAV has also catered for intra-cantonment transport offerings as a welfare measure for veterans. DIAV van (eight seater) picks up and drops veterans from certain factors around the cantonment, according with status routes and time schedules.
