special reccruitment drive for exservicemen

Special Recruitment Drive for Recruitment in Ex-serviceman Quota

Reservation for govt jobs to Exservicemen are well known to all. In spite of having a large vacancies in Govt Depts, thousands of ESM are still living only on pension as reccruitment is not feasable for them. As per Govt norms 10% posts are reserved for Exservicemen up to the rank of Asstt Comdt in Para Military Forces, 10% in Gp C Posts n central Ciil Services and 20% in Gp D Posts. In Central Public sector Enterprises, the reservation for exservvicemen are mor than that of in Central Civil Services. 14.5% vacancies of Gp C Posts in CPSE are reserved for Exservicemen and 24.5% are reserved in Gp D Posts.

Now the annual compilation of data and feedback received from various department shows that the vacancies reserved for ESM in Govt Depts and CPSEs are unfilled. In other hand it is well known to all that there is an acute crisis raised in Exservicemen community due to unemployment and insufficient scope of rehabilitation arrangement.

The above information shows that there is some fault in implementation of govt policy. The gap between provision and requirement has been caused artificially. Every year approx. 55000 soldiers retire and the survey says that only 5000 reemployed in govt department. Remaining 50,000 veterans are also willing to join Govt dept but due to lack of vacancy they are not offered any govt job.

You may have opportunity to get a high paid job in these CPSEs in the year 2022. Keep a close watch on the oficial websites of these Govt of India, Public Sector Enterprises :-

1National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC)
2Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)
3Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)
4Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL)
5Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)
6Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)
7Coal India Limited (CIL)
8Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL)
9Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)
10Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID)

To remove this huge gap, the Govt authority has initiated the Special Recruitment Drive for Exservicemen Category in Public Sector Organisation with relaxed Norms of appointment. The details are mentioned in the DESW letter available below in pdf form.

The special recruitment drive aimed to fill the gap between the provision and requirement but the problem that faced by the ESM are different. It has been experienced by many of the ESM that the recruitment in Govt Organisation except by means of result of all India Recruitment Tests, there are huge misappropriation. ESM Community has lost their faith from the Govt initiative through the DGR. Even though appointment in Security Guard post through the DGR Sponsored Security Agencies run by Defence Officers are not recruiting them in proper ways. Demand of Entry Fee through backdoor for appointment in DGR Sponsored Security Guard Post has been reported by many ESM.

What are the remedies?

  • We are our own enemy. To keep the system crystal clear, initiative of each and every Exservicemen irrespective of their rank and designation. To get justice and desired result we should be disciplined and honest first. To get a job most of ESM are ready to pay huge amount, that is the main culprit in this system.
  • To get a Govt job ESM candidate should follow Employment News every week. Thousands of vacancies are left unfilled as the ESM candidates are not available.
  • ESM candidates are not properly educated as per the requirement. So, soldiers while in service, may be provided a training to get well prepared before getting retirement.
