SPARSH pension system is an exclusive pension administration which administers sanction of pension, disbursement, grievance redressal, data updation, Income Tax applicability etc. As you know the last date of ITR e filing is 31 July 2023 and all eligible and applicable pensioners/ salaried persons are required to file ITR by the due date either huge fine may be imposed for late filing. So you must act upon the standard instructions of Income Tax and file your ITR accordingly if your income exceeds the basic exemption limit i.e Rs 2,50,000/-.
Basic need to file ITR e Filing – Form 16
To file an ITR you need to have the information regarding your earning and deductions which may be available in your Form 16 which is responsibility of your Employer/ pension disbursing authority. Your pension disbursing authority is SPARSH now. How to download form 16 from SPARSH Portal
Your form 16 is now available in the SPARSH portal. After successful login to the SPARSH portal using the credential (user ID and Password), you may find an interface like this on the PC screen. You have option to use it on your mobile phone also. SPARSH Mobile App is also available and checck it out from this website as details below. Lets have a look towards the PC Screen after login to the SPARSH Portal.

You should now click on the My Document button that appears on the right side OR left side as pointed on the screen with the Red arrow. Once you click on the My document button, it will open the another screen wherein you will have the option to select the Assessment Year. You should select the current year – for example those filing in July 2023, must click on 2023-24. After selecting the year you will get Tow different pdf file to open – Form 16 Part A and Form 16 Part B. Now you may download these on your device.
How to check and what to check in Form -16
Form 16 Part A consists of your yearly earning and TDS details. Earning of each quarter is available here alongwith amount of TDS deducted, if applicable. This portion is important to know about Taxable income and TDS deduction. If any TDS have been deducted by SPARSH or Bank, you may claim a refund, if eligible. Income upto 3 lakhs is free paying any Tax in general. Moreover , if you have any savings and other mode of investment/ eligible expenditure, there is also an adoption to get exemption. So, to know details, kindly log in to the Income Tax e filing website.
Form 16 Part B contains your Tax Calculation and payment details. In this part you may find the treatment of your income under the purview of Income Tax Act and all deductions and finally the tax liability. Except standard deduction, you may not find other details of deduction because of non – communication of your investment details etc. So, before filing ITR, you must keep a calculation of your Investment eligible to get deduction/exemption, Insurance, donation and other details as applicable under the Income Tax Law.
