Govt of India, Ministry of Defence has considered the financial loss of the retirees and serving soldiers and civ employees and a justified and logical orders have been passed which can be opted once in a life only. No alteration/ modification of your option will be granted later on.

Yes friend, this is about notional increment applicable to concerned personnel and officers who are getting retired within a few months or already retired. Lets go through the context of the letter and make understaand if this benefit is applicable to you or not.

ONE TIME GOVT SANCTION TO RE-EXERCISE CORRECT OPTION HAS BEEN ACCORDED VIDE MOD LETTER NO 1(20)/2017-D(PAY/SERVICES)-PART I DT 18 AUG 2023

MoD/DMA vide letter No 1(20)/2017-D(Pay/Services)–Part I dt 18 Aug 2023 has given last opportunity wherein all those pers who were promoted/gtd MACP after 01 Jan 2016 can ex/re-ex option for pay fixation from DNI in lower Rk/DoP, whichever is beneficial. Affected pensioners may thereafter re-exercise their option within three months wef 18 Aug 2023 to respective PAO (OR)/PCDA (O) Pune.
Presently, there are two dates of increment i.e. 01 Jan and 01 Jul every year which depends upon dt of promotion or financial up gradation. Following tables as recommended by PS-10 vide letter No C/7099/Policy/SAPCS/2023 dt 10 Jul 2023 may be referred to by the pensioners in case DNI option is exercised:-
When Date of Increment due on 01 Jul Every Year
