Kendriya Sainik Board has recently issued latest guidelines on issue of Dependent card for Dependents of Retired Armed Forces Personnel on 13 April 2023. As per the latest order of KSB issue of Dependent card will adhered to the following guidelines. Firstly the Dependent card to eligible dependents will be issued by ZSB initially for a period of 5 years and thereafter the card will be renewed duly producing the documentary evidence of dependency.
Eligibility criteria for renewal/issue of dependent card are :-
(a) Unmarried son below 25 years of age may be treated as dependent if his income is less than Rs 9000/- per month or no income
(b) Unmarried daughter (no age ;limit) may be treated as dependent if her income is less than Rs 9000/- per month or no income.
(c) Unmarried daughter / Divorced (legally separated from husband) is also treated as dependent and criteria for grant of dependent card is as above.
Son / daughter with permanent disability is treated as disabled dependent and dependent card will be issued for them for life tile validity.
