How to Submit Life Certificate on SPARSH Portal ?

It’s time to submit your life certificate. SPARSH portal is now a days functioning very smoothly. Approx 230 lakh defense pensioners have already been migrated to SPARSH. As aimed by the PCDA(P) and MoD, your life certificate should be submitted using SPARSH Portal. However, you are free to submit your life certificate using various means as offered by Govt of India. Those who have not been migrated to SPARSH System, need not to be worried. All the Defence pensioners will be migrated to SPARSH by the next few weeks.

Since SPARSH is now an integrated part of your life, you must know how to submit Life Certificate using SPARSH Portal. Submission of life certificate using SPARSH portal is too easy and there tow different methods to complete the process.

Process -1 is Mannual Life Certificate (MLC) – In this process you need not to use any biometric device. Detailed process will be discussed here.

Process -2 is fully Aadhar Based digital process. To submit Life certificate on SPARSH portal using Aadhar Based process you need to have Biometric device. Detailed process is discussed below.

Manual Life Certificate process in SPARSH Portal

MLC is an easy process to submit life certificate on the SPARSH portal. This process is quite time consuming and needs to depend on some other authority. Whereas the Aadhar Based Digital process need not depend on anyone and can be completed within a few minutes from home only. Detailed step by step process of Manual Life Certificate submission on SPARSH Portal is here.

Step-1 Open the website of SPARSH in your LAPTOP or PC which must have an internet connection. Link provided below.(URL- sparsh.defencepension.gov.in).

Step – 2 Log into the portal account using your credentials.

Step – 3 Click on the “Life Certificate / Identification” menu available in the left panel and right List of the page.

Step – 4 Click on “Perform Life Certificate/ Identification” . You may opt to submit a digital Life Certificate and need not to upload anything. If you have opted for the Aadhar option, you need to access the Aadhar linked mobile where you will receive the OTP thereafter the biometric scan of your fingerprint will be given. Since you do not want to use Biometric Device, choose MLC option as it appears on the screen.

Step- 5 – You will find 2 options in this screen “Mannual Life Certificate” and “Aadhar“. Click on Mannual Life Certificate option. Once selected on manual Life Certificate Option, and then click on “Initiate Request” to download MLC and create Life Certificate/ Identification request. You need not to put MLC Number here. You will have option to download MLC here. Now get a printout of your MLC and get it signed by a Gazetted officer and fill it up as required. Then make a scanned copy of it (pdf ) and keep in your device.

Step -6 – Now again login to the SPARSH Portal and Repeat the screen as step 1 to 4 . In the next step at step 5 – you need to put your MLC number as mentioned on the MLC printed and signed by a gazetted officer – required to be entered here and click on “initiate request” button to submit your Life Certificate (MLC), complete the next steps by putting the requisite data and submit your life certificate. Now it is done.

Process -2 Digital Life Certificate using Biometric System

You must install Mantra MFS-100 device on your PC before starting Life certificate process using the driver and RD Service client registration – both can be downloaded from jeevan praman website. Link – https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/apppackage/appdownload

Then navigate to the bottom of the page and click on PC/Windows. Then proceed to the next screen as below :

A link will be forwarded to your email. Now click on the link and select the Device and download RD Service client and Driver for MSF100.

Step -6 Once your biomatric device is effectedly connected, You may click on yes and put your finger on the screen of Finger Print Device. A dialouge will be shown – finger print captured Successfully.

Step – 7 In this screen you will get a dialougue box ” You have provided reemployment related information earlier. Will you continue it or Change it ” Click on No. and submt. Now your life certificate will be downloaded automatically.

now click on next and submit button. You are done.

How can I view my next idenification date?
