SPARSH Login Process for Defence Pensioners

Step-I : Go to the official website of the SPARSH Defence Pension as the Link given below or type sparsh. defencepension.gov.in . You already have received the user ID and Password in your registered mobile phone. Just put the User ID and password. Remember that the last two digit of your user ID is 01. Then put the Captcha and click on LOGIN button. You will be reached to the SPARSH Web portal. At the first time login, you need to change the password. Set your own password and dont forget to keep it noted at least 3 different ways. Most of my firends have kept it noted at their personal diary, one slip in wallet and one photo in mobile phone. You may follow it or you may adopt your own away.

Step-II : You will be asked to submit declaration regarding some issues i.e refund of excess payment , reemployment etc. Your personal document verification will be done with adhaar based OTP. So, just enter your adhaar number and complete the PDV process. You will get acknowledgment after completion of this process.

Step-III : Once you have changed password and completed PDV declaration. you are free to access the SPARSH Website. SPARSH mobile app also available. You may get Monthly pension slip, PPO, Pension entitlement, Corrigendum PPO, PDV Declarations forms and Form-16 Pre 2016 Pension may not be allowed to access all the sections and they may see the msg as : “You are pre 2016 pensioner. Your functionality of data correction has been suspended temporarily. You will be intimated through SMS and email once this is resumed.” A sample screen is here :

A detailed note of the SPARSH Portal

The effecctive pension administration system named SPARSH portal is established with the objective of empowering a Defence Pensioner with regard to his pension account. This is a step towards disintermediation of services. This portal ensures that the pensioner is in control of his pension account right from the time he applies to avail his pension. The Pensioner is allotted a unique account number once his digitised audited pension claim is ready for forwarding to PCDA(Pensions) for issue of Pension Payment Order.

The Pensioner is informed of this account number on the mobile number/email address furnished by him at the time of furnishing his pension claim which he can use to onboard on this portal. Once the Service Record Holder and the corresponding Pay Accounts Office prepares the pension claim it is made available to the pensioner on the portal for verification. This process is called Pensioner Data Verification (PDV). PDV ensures that the pensioner has the final say with respect to the information furnished to the Pension Sanction Authority.

The Portal also enables the pensioner to furnish the requisite declarations/ nominations/requests for commutation. The portal also provides the option to the pensioner to use enabled services for quicker processing of his requests and signing of declarations making his experience a truly paperless and hassle free one.
