Defence pensioners need not to be worried now . Instructions issued from CGDA regarding solution of non-submission of Life Certificate by SPRSH Migrated Pensioners within stipulated Period. As you know that defence pension disbursement system has now been fully changed and migrated to SPARSH. PCDA has already published notification and a long list of personnel who have not submitted their annual identification on SPARSH till date on their official website.

SPARSH Migrated Pensioners need to submit their Life Certificate/ Annual Identification from this year onwards using their migrate SPARSH PPO Number only. Submission of life certificate on SPARSH portal/ Jeevan Praman /Bank in any mode will comply the instructions of PCDA if you have mentioned the SPARSH PPO Number only. Old PPO number will not connect your present SPARSH profile anyway and as per Govt Policy, pension may be stopped for non submission of Life Certificate/ annual identification. You may check it if your pension has been migrated to SPARSH or not by clicking here.

The reality is that due to migration of pension system from bank to SPARSH, a huge number of defence pensioners have failed to submit their annual identification/Life Certificate within the stipulated time i.e 30 Nov 2022. According to rules of pension disbursement, if one failed to submit life certificate within one year from last life certification date, his/her pension will be stopped.

Now, considering the change in system of life certificate for defence pensioners due to implication of SPARSH, govt has instructed, not to stop pension for such defence pensioners who have failed to submit life certificate and the validity of last life certificate has been extended upto 28 Feb 2023. So, if you have not submitted life certificate using your SPARSH migrated PPO, don’t worry, you have more time now to submit DLC, upto 28 Feb 2023.

So, it is mandatory to check your pension migration status first. If your pension has been migrated to SPARSH, you need to submit life certificate/annual identification using SPARSH PPO Number only by any means, otherwise your pension may be stopped from December onwards.
