Govt Initiative for Employment of Exservicemen

The armed forces of India are the second largest in the world having more than 1.4 million active personnel in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. They are safeguarding the country against external aggression besides providing internal security. They are well trained, disciplined, motivated, experienced, active, energetic and exposed to hard and adverse conditions. It is estimated that approximately 60,000 service personnel are retiring every year at a very young age. The resettlement of retired personnel often pose various challenges. Efforts are underway towards the resettlement of Ex-Service Men (ESM) by organizing Employment Seminars / Job Fairs and skill development training in collaboration with various organizations.
