Common Mistakes in Life Certificate Submission Process – Must be Aware

You are now ready to submit your life certificate through Manual Process or digital whatever may be.  Before commencing the process you should take care of these simple things so that your Life Certificate taken as valid and your pension payment should not be paused.

Selection of a Single Platform for Life Certificate  

You must choose only one platform to submit your life certificate.  Multiple actions and use of multiple platform for submission of life certificate may create negative effect on your pension.  Different ways among these which one can be chosen based on suitability and applicability are as under –

For Defence Pensioners

(a)   On Sparsh Portal using biometric Aadhar based system.  Biometric devices are necessary.

(b)   On Sparsh Portal through  MLC (Manual Life Certificate) process.  Need not to have a Biometric device for it.

(c)   Those who have not migrated to SPARSH, submit a traditional paper copy of the Life Certificate form to the branch.

(d) May submit Life certificate using your Mobile phone and download only two apps – Jeevan Praman and FaceRD.  Total process is digital.

(e)  An MoU have been signed between the Ministry of Defence and banks (SBI) that they will accept the Life certificate of the pensioners till next 5 years.  So , you may submit your life certificate in bank also.

For Other Govt  pensioners 

(a)    You may submit your life certificate to your pension paying Bank directly.

(b)     You may opt to submit your life certificate through Jeevan Praman Biometric Fingerprint or Face Reading process.

Correct Data input regarding PPO Number, Pension Sanctioning Authority & Disbursing Authority.

For Defence/SPARSH Pensioners you should ensure that correct details have been feeded while entering online/ offline form for life certificate.   Details are as under – 

(a)   Type of pensioners –  Service pension   or Family pension whichever is applicable.

(b) Organisation –Central Govt.

(c) For Pension Sanctioning Authority: Your PCDA who generated your PPO:-

(i) For ESM and Family pensioners Army Navy & Air force – Defence – PCDA pension allahabad.

(d) Disbursing Agency: 

For SPARSH PENSIONERS of all three services it is SPARSH- PCDA (Pensions) Prayagraaj. 

For those still not yet migrated it is your own CPPC of the Bank, like CPPC, SBI, Kolkata.

(f) Agency. For migrated pensioners it is SPARSH-PCDA. (Pensions) Prayagaraj.  For others it is CPPC of Bank. 

Preview Filled Data. It will display the following data you entered:-

(a) Your Name as in Aadhar Card.

(b) Type of Pensioner: Service (for family pensioner it is Family).

(c) Organisation : Central Govt (for all defence pensioners).

(d) Sanctioning Authority: Your PSA. (It is PCDA (Pensions) Prayagraj for Army pensioner. For Navy, PCDA Navy Mumbai or PCDA (P) Prayagraj. For IAF pensioners it is Jt CDA (AF) Subroto Park, Delhi Cantt.

(e) Disbursing Agency : For all migrated to SPARSH, it is SPARSH – PCDA (Pensions), Prayagraj.

(f) Agency: For all migrated Pensioners, it is : SPARSH -PCDA (Pensions) Allahabad.

(g) PPO No: The last PPO or E-PPO No you got from your PSA (Pension Sanctioning Authority).

Upload Reemployment Certificate

Those who are reemployed and submitting life certificate on SPARSH Portal, you have to check the field that you are Reemployed or Not Reemployed. If selected Reemployed, must keep ready the reemployment certificate duly signed by the present employer. If not, once you checked the reemployed field , your DR may be stopped as faced by some Exservicemen earlier ion this year.
