30 Lakh Defence Pensioners Migrated to SPARSH

Approx 30 lakh Defence pensioners have already been migrated to SPARSH. Only 3 Lakh pensioners including DSC are pending and they all are being migrated and it is expected that by the end of 2023 all 100% Defence Pensioners will be migrated.  

All DSC Pensioners who are being migrated will receive a SPARSH username and password on their registered mobile number / email id as the database obtained by CGDA from your respective bank. It is therefore essential that you get your mobile number and email ID updated with your bank.

A SMS for Acct creation will be sent on registered mobile number alongwith username & Password. To login and avail the services provided by SPARSH either visit the link or visit nearest SPARSH service centre. To understand login process, please click on the link   

In case Pensioner has not got or lost or deleted these SMS, facility exists to check whether his/her acct has been migrated. Pensioners can check their migration status through Migration in the SPARSH tab available in . You will be taken to a new page which will show – Know your SPARSH PPO. You can check your SPARSH PPO by selecting and feeding any one out of existing ePPOnumber, Personal No & Bank Acct Number. You will be able to see your PPO details on the screen including SPARSH PPO No, if migrated.

SPARSH PPO Number becomes your login ID by suffixing ‘01’ for service pensioners and ‘02’ for Family Pensioners respectively. ie at the end of your SPARSH PPO number. Please go to the login page and use the Forgot Password Option to generate your Password. Then, pensioner will receive a message on the registered mobile number which would contain the Password for Login.

If you haven’t received the login credentials or even don’t receive the OTP, it implies that your Mobile No is not yet updated in the SPARSH database. You can now update the same by visiting the nearest SPARSH Service Centre / Common Service Centre (CSC).

In order to avoid the stoppage of your Pension, You are requested to submit your DLC/MLC through SPARSH portal and when it is due.  


Some scammers / fraudsters may have created ‘phishing’ websites to steal personal and banking data of pensioners by asking them to update details of SPARSH. The message will have a link where they tell you to update profile details including NOK Aadhaar and PAN details. Please do not click any such link. All SPARSH updation of data by PCDA is directly from banks and Record Offices. Pensioners are never asked directly for such information through SMS or e-mail. Further, the only link for pensioner portal is All others are fake.
