Revision of various types of pension under OROP

It has been reportd by various kind of defence pensioners that their service pension has only been revised under OROP Scheme from July 2014 and no other pension has been revised. As per PCDA eBook on Pension, all kind of pension as desccribed below are to be revised under OROP scheme.

1. Disability Pension/ Liberalized Disability Pension: Both the elements of Disability Pension/ Liberalized Disability Pension, i.e. Service Element and Disability Element shall be revised by the PDAs as per pension rates provided in the specific tables.

2. War injury Pension: Both the elements of War Injury Pension, i.e. Service Element and War Injury Element shall be revised by the PDAs in accordance with the specific tables.

Service Element/Pension for various ranks is given in Table Nos. 1 to 9 of circular 555 of PCDA office.

ii. War Injury Element (in discharge case) for 100% disability for various ranks is given in Table Nos. 79 to 87 of the circular. War Injury Element (in invalided out cases) for 100% disability for various ranks are given in Table Nos. 88 to 96 of the circular.

3. Revision of Family Pension

Enhanced rate of Family Pension and normal rate of Family Pension for various ranks are given in Table Nos. 10 to 18 and 19 to 27 respectively of the circular.

Special Family Pension and Special Dependent Family Pension/2nd life award of Special Family Pension for various ranks are given in the Tables No. 28 to 36 and 37 to 45 respectively of the circular.

4. Liberalized Family Pension and Liberalized Dependent Family Pension/2nd life award of Liberalized Family Pension for various ranks are given in the Table Nos. 46 to 54 and 55 to 69 respectively of the circular

6th India-Maldives Joint Staff Talks further bolster bilateral defence cooperation

6thJoint Staff Talks (JST) between India and the Maldiveswere held in
New Delhi on December 20,2022.The meeting was conducted in a friendly,
warm and extremely cordial atmosphere. Discussions focused on the ongoing
and new initiatives under the ambit of existing bilateral defence cooperation
mechanism of all the three services and further strengthening the
engagements.

The meeting was co-chaired by Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence
Staff, Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) Air Vice Marshal
Ashish Vohra and Commandant, Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF)
Service Corps Brigadier General Hamidh Shafeeg.The JST is a forum
established to boost defence cooperation between India and the Maldives
through annual talks at the strategic and operational levels between HQ IDS
&MNDF.

Indian Naval Ship (INS) Mormugao (D67), second warship of the P15B
class of stealth guided-missile destroyers, was commissioned in the august
presence of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai on
December 18, 2022. The event marked the formal induction of the second of
the four ‘Visakhapatnam’ class destroyers, indigenously designed by the Indian
Navy’s in-house organisation Warship Design Bureau and constructed by
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai.
