Indian Armed Force Flag Day is observed by the Nation as a sign of respect to the members of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The day also pays tribute to the brave fighters of mother India.
History of Armed Forces Flag Day
The Defense Minister’s Committee on August 28, 1949, created the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. In 1993, the Defense Ministry of India amalgamated all applicable welfare price range, including finances for war victims, the Kendriya Sainik Board Fund, the ex-welfare servicemen’s fund, and different devices, to establish the Armed Forces Flag Day fund.
Significance of Armed Forces Flag Day 2022
On 7 December, the day is observed to encourage public engagement and support across the country in order to achieve the following goals:
To provide rehabilitative assistance to the NOK of war victims.
To take initiatives to safeguard the well-being of serving soldiers and their families.
To assist former service veterans and their families with their welfare and resettlement.
Throughout India, the common citizens who are volunteers generate funds by selling coupon flags, stickers, and other goods during the commemoration of this anniversary. This provide financial assistance to the needy veteran families.
Celebration of Armed Forces Flag Day 2022
Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy, organise a ramification of activities to display the achievements of our armed forces personnel. The widespread public participates within the day’s celebrations by signing up as volunteers and helping with the collection of coins, stickers, and different items.
