Revision of Concessionary Air Fares

Air Fare Concession Revised for Defence Category

Air India Revenue Management Department issued Circular No 2964 dated 28 September 2022 regarding Revision of Concessionary Fares. This circular supersedes all earlier circulars regarding Concessionary Fares.

It has been decided by the Air India Authority that to revise the Concessionary Fares with effect from 29th September 2022. The changes are applicable for Tickets issued on/after 29th September 2022. The details of changes are as under:

Note: All applicable fees / taxes are payable by the passenger.

1. Advance Reservation &Ticketing:

  1. Reservations for each sector and ticketing must be completed at the same time.
  2. Waitlist and standby not permitted.
  3. Ticketing for departure of each trip must be completed at least 03 Days before Departure from Fare Component Origin.
  4. Sales Restriction : Concessionary Fares can be issued from Air India City Ticketing Office (CTO), Airport Ticketing Office(ATO), Call Centre and from www.airindia.in
  5. Sale & Travel Validity: with effect from 29th September 2022 till further notice.
  6. Discount is valid on both one way and round trip bookings.
  7. Fare rules for cancellations, refunds, rebooking & reissues as per the respective RBD will apply.
  8. Concessional fares are subject to availability of seats.
  9. The tickets are non-endorsable, non- reroutable.
  10. No name changes are permitted.
  11. Proper verification of Valid ID / documents must MANDATORILY be carried out at the time of ticketing at City Ticketing office (CTO) & Airport Ticketing Office (ATO) and check-in points at Airport.
  12. Passengers MUST carry original documents and to avail the concession.
  13. Boarding will be denied if the identity proof is not provided at the boarding gate.

Passengers would have to carry proof of identification throughout the journey.

a. As per CMD’s instructions, no one will have authority to waive condition of documentation check.

b. In case the relevant ID /Documents are not presented at the time of check-in, the basic fare will be forfeited and the ticket/s will become non-refundable (Only Taxes & levies will be refunded).

  1. Airport Managers / Duty Managers to undertake surprise checks.
  2. Normal baggage allowance of 01pc/25 Kgs. is applicable.
  3. All the general terms of carriage apply

1 3Locomotor Disability ConcessionDisabled persons suffering from locomotor disability to the extent of 80% and above and are residents of India.
